Captain Eric Massey has spent 50 years fishing the lakes of Missouri, beginning at a young age alongside his father and other family members. Those early days on the water shaped a lifelong love for fishing and taught him the value of patience, preparation, and time spent outdoors. As the guide behind Eric Massey Fish Co, he now shares that experience with guests who want more than a simple day of fishing. He enjoys helping beginners catch their first fish, showing families how to fish together, and giving experienced anglers a better understanding of the local waters.

As a Missouri Ozarks fishing guide, Captain Eric knows Truman Reservoir, Pomme de Terre Lake, and Stockton Lake inside and out. He uses decades of local fishing experience to adjust each trip based on water temperature, weather, seasonal movement, and fish activity. Safety and comfort are always priorities, especially on family-friendly fishing charters in the Missouri Ozarks. Trips are private for up to two guests, allowing Captain Eric to provide personal instruction and keep the experience relaxed, organized, and focused on each angler’s goals.

Guests fish aboard an 18-foot 2022 Tracker Targa powered by a 150 HP Mercury engine. The boat reaches speeds of up to 50 mph, making it easy to move between productive fishing areas on Truman Reservoir, Pomme de Terre Lake, and Stockton Lake. Its two-guest capacity creates a comfortable setup for private instruction, easy conversation, and plenty of room to fish.
